Roderick Milligan

Roderick Milligan is a Counseling Intern at Coppin State University, currently pursuing a degree in Mental Health Counseling. He brings a strong foundation of real-world experience to his clinical work, having supported both youth and adults across diverse and high-need settings.

Roderick has extensive experience working with youth in juvenile detention facilities, where he provided support to individuals navigating behavioral challenges, trauma, and systemic barriers. He has also worked with adults as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, offering guidance, advocacy, and encouragement to individuals on their recovery journeys.

These experiences shaped Roderick's passion for clinical mental health work and strengthened his commitment to helping clients heal, grow, and reach their full potential. He approaches therapy with empathy, cultural humility, and a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens, meeting clients where they are and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.
